Romeo's Blue Skies Animation

Let’s make a promise! We’ll always be together! Celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of World Masterpiece Theater, Romeo’s Blue Skies arrives in its long-awaited Blu-ray box as the series marks thirty years since its broadcast. Romeo and his companions’ bonds come vividly to life once again in a remastered edition.

To help support his family, Romeo allows himself to be bought by a child trader known as the Grim Reaper and leaves home to work as a chimney sweep. The work is painfully harsh and demanding, but he meets Alfredo, who will become his lifelong friend, and the two form a deep bond.

Together with other boys working as chimney sweeps, they form the Black Brothers to stand against the attacking Wolf Gang. This is a story of boys’ friendship and their courage in facing a cruel reality.

The release includes the creditless opening and ending, sponsor-card backgrounds and end cards, a programme commercial and a commercial announcing the series’ return after a broadcast break. The collection is housed in a storage box featuring a newly drawn illustration.
