Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective Animation

An exceptionally unorthodox great detective takes on baffling mysteries. A one-hundred-percent case-solving rate, yet a zero-percent culprit-arrest rate? The popular mystery manga serialised in Shonen Jump+ becomes a television anime.

At BLUE, the world’s finest detective-training school, there was once a genius whose remarkable talent promised an extraordinary future. Ron Kamonohashi was whispered to be the greatest talent since the school opened.

Then an incident during his time there left him with a flaw fatal to a detective. Expelled from BLUE, Ron was forbidden from being a detective.

Five years later, he lives in disappointment and boredom. Totomaru Isshiki, a detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigation Division, visits him to ask for help with a series of murders. Ron’s stalled time begins moving again.

Learning of Ron’s suffering, the pure-hearted but foolish Totomaru offers to support him out of kindness. Ron calls him Toto, senses limitless possibilities in investigating together and chooses him as his partner.

Ron solves the mysteries while Toto carries out the investigation. This mismatched detective pair, each with a few complications, elegantly unravels one mysterious case after another.

Supplementary footage includes the second opening without credits and a collection of commercials. The original first-production edition offered an outer case, illustrated digipak and booklet. These limited physical extras depend on remaining first-production stock and are not guaranteed.
