Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles 2 Vol.2 Blu-ray Box continues a fantasy in which memories from a former life become inseparable from the struggles of the present. The second season adapts Yuri Kitayama's story of Rio, whose extraordinary magic and connection to modern Japan lead him towards both painful memories and unexpected reunions.

After his mother was murdered, Rio grew up as an orphan in the slums. At the age of seven, the memories of Haruto Amakawa, a Japanese university student killed in an accident, awaken within him alongside an immense magical power. Through the encounters and farewells that follow, Rio reaches his parents' homeland and vows revenge against the enemy who took his mother's life.

Returning to the Strahl region after years of travelling, Rio rescues his former teacher Celia from an unwanted political marriage. Almost immediately afterwards, mysterious pillars of light lead him to a startling reunion with Miharu Ayase, the girl Haruto loved in his previous life. The overlap between the two lives widens further as other people from Japan arrive in this world.

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka voices Rio, joined by Akane Fujita as Celia, Yuki Kuwahara as Aishia, Tomori Kusunoki as Latifa and Sayaka Harada as Miharu. This volume collects episodes 7-12, completing the second season, and adds a collection of promotional videos and commercials plus all sixteen instalments of the Liselotte mini-anime.

The disc comes in a special slipcase illustrated by character designer Kyoko Yufu. A booklet includes a newly written short story by original author Yuri Kitayama, while an illustration card presents the full-body version of the package artwork. The approximately 142-minute main programme is presented in 16:9 1080p with Japanese Linear PCM 2.0 stereo sound and no subtitles. The Blu-ray is region-free.
