Seiyu's Life! Blu-ray Box Regular Edition

Celebrate the tenth anniversary of Seiyu’s Life! The manga about the growth of rookie voice actors began in 2011 as a collaboration between working voice actress Masumi Asano and artist Kenjiro Hata. Its 2015 anime adaptation returns in this box, collecting all thirteen television episodes and the special episode.

Futaba Ichinose has only just made her debut as a voice actress. With no particularly distinctive specialty and very little work, she supports herself with a part-time job while finding her way through trial and error. One day, in the recording studio for the television anime Buddha Warrior Bosatsuon, she meets fellow newcomers Ichigo Moesaki and Rin Kohana.

Drawing on her own experience and extensive research, original author Masumi Asano presents the daily lives of girls struggling to turn what they love into a profession with humor and an honest sense of reality. Aspiring voice actors, anime fans and anyone uncertain about their future can discover an unexaggerated portrait of the people behind the voices.

The regular edition comes in a digipak with new artwork by character designer and chief animation director Masakatsu Sasaki, accompanied by an eight-page booklet. Extras include the archive commentaries from the original Blu-ray volumes, a newly recorded Earphones commentary for the first episode, and clean opening and ending sequences. The archive commentaries reproduce the recordings previously included with the original limited editions and the first-volume recording-kit edition.
