Sengoku Youko Animation

Humans, learn the depth of the darkness! A furious, fast-paced Sengoku battle fantasy begins!

Sengoku Youko, written by Satoshi Mizukami and serialised in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade from 2008, won readers over with its powerful battle action and richly appealing characters. The long-awaited anime adaptation began in January 2024, with a run spanning three consecutive cours on TOKYO MX, ABC TV, Me-Tele and BS Asahi. The lower volume of the Yonaoshi Shitei arc now comes to Blu-ray, accompanied by a selection of Evan Call's background music.

The year is Eiroku 7, or 1564. In this world of warring states, there are humans, beings of darkness, darkness that devours humans, humans who hunt the darkness, and humans and darkness who join hands. Tama, a fox spirit who loves humans, and Jinka, an immortal ascetic who hates them, are adoptive sister and brother. With the power of spirit transformation, they battle the katawara and strike down the great evils spreading through this chaotic age. What lies ahead at the end of Jinka and Tama's journey?
