Sexy Zone opens a second chapter with Chapter II, the group's ninth original album, arriving around a year after its predecessor. All the members discussed and chose the title to express this new stage. It follows The Highlight, whose presentation drew inspiration from the retro atmosphere of the 1980s and 1990s.
Keeping that mixture of nostalgia and freshness, Chapter II broadens the group's sound with a more mature view of who the members are now. The standard edition adds a second CD of solo songs by Shori Sato, Fuma Kikuchi, So Matsushima and Kento Nakajima to the fourteen-track group album.
