Shonan no Kaze Shin Shun Kyou Ran Budokan Regular Edition Blu-ray

Shin Shun Kyou Ran took place on January 19, 2023 as the first live event celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Shonan no Kaze’s major debut. It was the group’s first solo performance at Nippon Budokan. The sold-out show captivated the 11,000 people who came to the venue, and this premium live experience now comes home on Blu-ray.

For the first time, Shonan no Kaze placed the stage in the centre of the arena, giving them a view of the audience all around them. The main performance begins with a passionate message from the members in the opening video: “We want to spread reggae even further.”

Alongside signature songs such as Junrenka and Suirenka, the group performs its first single Ouenka, followed by Haru Densetsu, Karasu and Saboten in release order. The performance itself looks back over twenty years, while conversations on stage reveal stories behind the filming of their music videos. These rare moments can be seen only in this release.

The original anniversary presentation also introduced the simultaneously released Shonan no Kaze 20th Anniversary BEST collection and looked ahead to the group’s August 12 Yokohama Stadium show, their first there in ten years. With the group racing through its twentieth-anniversary year, it promised a summer to watch closely.
