Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle Anime

She may be a captive princess, but she is sleeping very well. The hugely popular sleep-themed fantasy comedy from Weekly Shonen Sunday asks what happens when a princess abducted to the Demon King's castle does whatever she wants in pursuit of a peaceful night's sleep.

Long ago, in an age when humans and demons mingled and coexisted, the Demon King abducted a human princess and imprisoned her in his own castle. Captive Princess Syalis murmurs from her cage, 'Apart from sleeping, there is nothing to do.'

She secretly slips out of her cell and explores the Demon King's castle in search of better sleep. This freely wandering hostage princess does exactly as she pleases, drawing the monsters around her into her plans. A new kind of sleep-themed fantasy comedy begins.

Volume one contains nights one to four, with 100 minutes of main-program footage. Approximately thirty minutes of video extras include Master the Path to Peaceful Sleep! parts one to four, featuring Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Hiro Shimono, together with the creditless opening and ending. Audio commentary features Inori Minase and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka.

The outer case features a new illustration by original author Kagiji Kumanomata, and the digipak features a new illustration by character designer Ai Kikuchi. A special booklet is enclosed, and the disc has a picture label.
