Slow Loop Animation

A fishing line connects the circle of family. Slow Loop adapts Maiko Uchino’s manga, serialised in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward, into an anime about fishing and family.

Hiyori and Koharu are first-year high-school girls who become sisters when their parents remarry. Through Hiyori’s hobby of fishing, they gradually grow closer. Their gentle encounters with the people around them, together with the story’s realistic depictions of fishing, have drawn attention. Faithfully recreated fishing scenes and charming characters fill the series with moments not to be missed.

Hiyori is a slightly shy girl who enjoys fly fishing, something her late father taught her. One day, as she fishes alone beside the sea, she meets the carefree Koharu, who suddenly tries to run into the water. They decide to fish together, only to discover that they are the daughters of the people their parents are about to marry.

The people in their growing circle include Hiyori’s childhood friend Koi, who looks after her father’s fishing-tackle shop. Would you like to spend some unhurried time fishing alongside Hiyori and Koharu, who became sisters after such an unexpected meeting?

Video extras include the first Try Loop live-action bonus programme and textless opening and ending sequences. The original first-production edition was announced with an illustrated digipak, a special fly-reel-style case, a booklet containing the new two-page Omake Loop comic, and a sticker set. These limited extras are subject to availability and are not guaranteed with the current copy.
