Pretty Cure Anime

Into an ever-expanding world! Hop! Step! Jump! This year's motif is the sky, and its theme is heroes. The twentieth-anniversary entry in the Pretty Cure series brings together the series' achievements while taking on many new challenges.

A new Pretty Cure standard, renewing the series' image through the motif of the sky. An immense world stretches out, blue, clear and full of light. The heroine embodies that endlessly expanding sky. The story portrays a world broadened by understanding, spreading like the vast sky beyond borders, generations and gender.

From heroines to heroes: watch the Pretty Cures face difficulties and fight. A hero is someone who gives others power, courage and inspiration. Working positively, dreaming and refusing to give up, they draw strength from someone else and pass it onward, letting their feelings spread. Reconsidering the heroic qualities expressed by the Pretty Cures throughout the series, Soaring Sky begins anew as a story of hero girls.

This twentieth-anniversary production is filled with elements that bring the series together, along with new challenges. Beginning with two protagonists reminiscent of the original Futari wa Pretty Cure, it introduces the franchise's first boy Pretty Cure and adult woman Pretty Cure, among many developments throughout the year. The ending sequences also feature legendary Pretty Cures from earlier series, changing from week to week. This anniversary celebration offers enjoyment to every Pretty Cure fan, regardless of age or gender.

Story A major incident strikes peaceful Skyland. The very young princess Elle has been kidnapped by a monster from the Underg Empire. The brave girl Sora pursues the princess through a mysterious hole, which leads to Sorashido City in another world. Television? Cars? Are these magical tools? But there is no time to stand around in surprise: the princess must be returned to her castle quickly. Fly between two worlds as the Pretty Cures' adventure begins. It is a hero's turn!

Contents and regular extras Volume 2 contains episodes 13–24. Recorded extras collect transformation and action scenes, together with a reference-material gallery. These recorded extras are common to first-press and regular editions. The picture-label disc and the jacket newly illustrated by character designer Atsushi Saito are also common to both editions.

Conditional first-production items An enclosed application ticket offered an illustrated art board by Atsushi Saito through an all-volume purchase campaign for all applicants, valid in Japan.
