Space Demon Daikengo Complete Series Blu-ray brings the 1978-1979 robot anime's galaxy-spanning science-fiction adventure together in one set. All 26 episodes are included, with episodes 1-13 on the first disc and episodes 14-26 on the second.
The series reunited creative talent associated with Science Ninja Team Gatchaman and Tekkaman. Motosuke Takahashi contributed character designs, while Kunio Okawara handled the mechanical designs shortly before Mobile Suit Gundam. Chief director Masami Anno worked under the name Akira Yashiro.
Hiroya Ishimaru voices Liger, while Mitsuko Horie plays Cleo in her voice-acting debut and performs the opening theme. The included 24-page guide booklet features a special interview with Horie, adding production context to the complete television run.
This two-disc, region-free edition runs approximately 625 minutes and presents the original 4:3 picture in a pillarboxed frame, with Japanese Linear PCM mono audio and no subtitles. Original programme wording has been retained; some picture and sound irregularities may remain because of the condition of the surviving materials.
