SPY×FAMILY Stage & Musicals

The hugely popular comic receives its first musical adaptation! A man who is a spy, a girl with psychic powers and a woman who is an assassin: could the peace of the world be entrusted to these three? This is the story of an unusual makeshift family formed by three people who grew up without knowing what an ordinary family was. The musical now comes to Blu-ray.

During the Cold War between East and West, countries around the world were waging fierce intelligence wars behind the scenes. The neighbouring eastern nation of Ostania and western nation of Westalis had maintained a fragile peace for more than a dozen years. An exceptionally skilled spy codenamed Twilight, who belongs to the eastern division of the Westalian intelligence service WISE, has repeatedly used his outstanding abilities to avert crises between the two nations.

One day, Twilight receives a top-secret mission to investigate the movements of Donovan Desmond, president of Ostania’s National Unity Party and a dangerous figure threatening peace between East and West. The mission is called Operation Strix. Its instructions are to form a family within one week, infiltrate a social gathering at the prestigious school attended by Desmond’s son and make contact with Desmond.

Twilight assumes the identity of psychiatrist Loid Forger and begins looking for a daughter and a wife to create his family. His prospective daughter, Anya, is a psychic who can read minds, while his prospective wife, Yor, has a hidden life as an assassin. Their interests align, and the three begin living together while concealing their true identities from one another.

As expected, everyday life for this makeshift family of three people with extraordinary backgrounds is full of strange happenings. Sometimes they become involved in major incidents and must confront their respective enemies and difficult challenges. Yet they give their all to maintain the appearance of an ordinary family, and the peace of the world has been entrusted to them...

This Version S edition presents the full performance recorded at the Imperial Theatre in March 2023 and includes a booklet of stage photographs.
