Still the Man Who Can't Marry Blu-ray Box

Starring Hiroshi Abe, The Man Who Can't Marry returns after thirteen years. Can the stubborn man of the Reiwa era finally find a partner for life? Eccentric, self-righteous and sarcastic architect Shinsuke Kuwano has evolved even further.

At fifty-three, in an age when people are said to live for a hundred years, Kuwano has refined his stubbornness and still relishes being single. Yet unexpected encounters with women set the wheels of fate in motion.

Shinsuke Kuwano, played by Abe, is a skilled architect whose looks and income are above average, but he has never married, even after turning fifty, because he sees no benefit in it. His pride and strong preferences keep him from seeking a girlfriend, and he enjoys an easy single life.

By chance he meets Madoka Yoshiyama, played by Yo Yoshida, a lawyer with a nearby office; Madoka's client Yukie Okano, played by Izumi Inamori, who manages a cafe; and a mysterious young woman, Saki Tonami, who has moved into the neighboring apartment.

The women struggle to deal with Kuwano and are exasperated by him. Yet as they experience his occasionally direct, affecting words and actions, and his determination to follow his own path without caring about appearances, subtle changes begin in their feelings.

The four-disc box contains three main discs and a bonus disc. Extras include a special conversation between Hiroshi Abe and screenwriter Masaya Ozaki, Shinsuke Kuwano's Seven Rules, Tsukaji and the Beautiful Women: Honest Talk, Sanshiro member Aida's visit to the set, the production announcement, poster-shoot footage, surprise birthdays and cast wrap-ups.
