Sukeban Deka II: Legend of the Girl in the Iron Mask HD Remastered Blu-ray Box 1

The legendary Sukeban Deka drama series aired on Fuji Television from 1985 to 1987, winning such enormous popularity that it became a social phenomenon and led to three television series. It was based on Shinji Wada’s manga of the same name, serialized in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume from 1976 to 1982.

A girl becomes a student detective and uses a special-alloy yo-yo bearing a cherry-blossom crest to confront the evil spreading through schools and shadowy organizations seeking to control Japan. The highly entertaining stories and the distinctive world created by the idols playing the heroines attracted widespread attention and sparked a major boom. This popular series, a defining work of the 1980s, finally arrives in its entirety on Blu-ray. Forty years later, the legendary battles of successive Sukeban Deka heroines come vividly back to life!

The second series, Sukeban Deka II: Shojo Tekkamen Densetsu (Legend of the Girl in the Iron Mask), aired all 42 episodes on Fuji Television from November 1985 to October 1986. Yoko Minamino, who had made her singing debut in June 1985, was selected to star. She compellingly portrayed Shiori Saotome, the heroine forced to wear an iron mask, as she inherited the name Saki Asamiya and became the second Sukeban Deka. The drama was another major hit. Her memorable declaration, “I won’t forgive you lot!”, also drew attention, and Minamino quickly joined the ranks of Japan’s leading idols. The complete record of the second Saki Asamiya’s battles, comprising 42 episodes, is divided between two boxes. Box 1 was released in December 2025 and Box 2 in March 2026.

This first box contains episodes 1–21.
