SYNDUALITY Noir Anime

STAND BY YOU. Your Magus is always by your side.

A major project from the Bandai Namco Group links anime, games and hobby products. The anime was broadcast nationwide, while the game was announced for worldwide deployment in 2024. A distinguished team spanning different generations of creators presents a classic science-fiction story set in the near future, where humans and humanoids fight aboard mecha. The Blu-ray boxes come with an exceptionally rich selection of extras in every volume.

Story The year is 2242. After the unprecedented disaster called the Tears of the New Moon forced humanity deep underground, the collapse of the underground city-state Amasia led people to begin moving forward with renewed hope of living on the surface. They formed settlements called Nests in different regions. Adventurers who fight the Enders still threatening humanity and mine the AO crystals needed to power the Nests are known as Drifters. In Rock Town, a Nest where these Drifters gather, a young man named Kanata dreams of becoming one himself. One day, while exploring a ruined museum with the highly skilled Drifter Tokio, he finds a beautiful Magus asleep inside. His encounter with this mysterious Magus, Noir, slowly sets a story of destiny in motion.

Second-cour opening theme: Aire, performed by ARCANA PROJECT. Second-cour ending theme: Drifters, performed by STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION.

Episode 9, Legendary hero On the way to Traders Nest, Kanata sees a Drifter moving through heavy rain without protective equipment. When he sees the same person again there, he learns that the man is Alba, a Drifter active since the Amasia era who is researching various matters concerning Magus.

Episode 10, Drifters' pride Kanata learns that someone has inflicted devastating damage on Nests around Rock Town. He volunteers to investigate, but Tokio stops him. Their feelings begin to diverge subtly. Eventually, under Mam's orders, the two set out together, but the atmosphere remains awkward. Kanata shakes off Tokio's attempts to stop him and goes on ahead.

Episode 11, Storm of A.I. Drifters from nearby Nests arrive to reinforce Rock Town as it prepares to confront the Silver Storm. Meanwhile, the mysterious organization targeting Noir takes advantage of the confusion and orders Ciel to eliminate Kanata. The Drifters locked in fierce combat with the Silver Storm are beginning to reach their limits.

Episode 12, Mirage of the Ideal The Drifters muster their final strength to fight the Silver Storm. With everyone battered and wounded, Kanata rises to the challenge, but even his upgraded Daisy Ogre Alter struggles. As everyone fights desperately, Noir worries whether she is truly helping Kanata. When those feelings reach their peak, something about her begins to change.

Episode 13, Double cast Several days have passed since the fierce battle with the Silver Storm. Noir, who transformed into a Magus calling herself Mystere, has still not returned. With no clues, Kanata takes Mystere to places that hold memories of Noir, hoping this might prompt Noir to awaken.

Episode 14, Mysterious journey Mystere says Histoire really exists. During a journey with her former master, she once came into contact with Histoire's network by chance. She says that once her self-repair is complete, she will know the exact location of that contact. To reach Histoire, she decides to train Kanata.

Episode 15, Duel of Fates Seeking clues to Histoire, Kanata and his companions approach Carthage, where a spaceport once stood. As they attempt access, someone attacks them. Heading toward the source of the attack, Kanata finds the pure-white Coffin Gilbow equipped with its original armaments, and the mysterious man he calls Black Mask.

Episode 16, Noir Rain Noir is told that her personality may disappear once Mystere's self-repair is finished. She accepts this, believing that Mystere, rather than herself, should be the one at Kanata's side. Their feelings diverge without Kanata knowing. Noir decides that, as a final gesture for him, she will cook him a meal.
