Tabekko Doubutsu: The Movie (Standard Edition) Blu-ray

In Sweets Land, people and sweets live happily together, and the singing, dancing Tabekko Doubutsu are its beloved idol stars. Their peaceful world is threatened when the Cotton Candy Army captures Pegasus-chan as part of a plan to eliminate every other sweet and take control. With no weapons, no plan and no fighting ability, the fluffy friends must attempt an apparently impossible rescue. Saving their companion will take an unexpected idea and the courage to act together.

Directed by Hitoshi Takekiyo from a screenplay by Tetsuhiro Ikeda, this CG-animated adventure from Marza Animation Planet combines a rescue story with lively musical performances. Genta Matsuda voices Lion-kun, Koshi Mizukami voices Elephant-kun and Akari Takaishi voices Pegasus-chan. They are joined by Shingo Fujimori, Shota Aoi, Ari Ozawa, Inori Minase, Nao Toyama, Fumihiko Tachiki and Kurumi Mamiya as the other animal friends, with Ririana Ono as Pero, Tomokazu Seki as Gotchan, Hochu Otsuka as King Cotton and Akio Otsuka as Professor Macaron. The standard edition includes the 90-minute film and a special booklet, with Japanese stereo and 5.1-channel DTS-HD Master Audio and Japanese accessibility subtitles.
