Tadaima, Okaeri Anime

A heartwarming home drama that brings comfort and a few tears. Ichikawa Ichi's original Tadaima, Okaeri comic, published by Fusion Product, surpassed 3.6 million copies in circulation. Let the whole family share more and more smiles in a story that invites a gentle pause. Its Omegaverse setting is a fictional universe, said to originate in Europe and America, containing three kinds of people: alpha, beta and omega. In that setting, pregnancy is possible irrespective of sex.

Masaki Fujiyoshi married his beloved husband Hiromu and became a full-time househusband. With their son Hikari approaching his second birthday, they move to a suburban town. Prejudice against their unequal marriage leaves Masaki unsure of himself. Sometimes held by anxiety and sadness, he gradually grows stronger with Hiromu and Hikari's support. Becoming more of a family than yesterday, the Fujiyoshi household welcomes viewers into its gentle daily life.

Volume 3 contains episodes 9–12. Atsushi Tamaru voices Masaki Fujiyoshi, Toshiyuki Morikawa voices Hiromu, Atsumi Tanezaki voices Hikari and Konomi Kohara voices Hinata. Taku Yashiro plays Yuki Hirai, Kosuke Toriumi plays Tomohiro Matsuo, Shintaro Asanuma plays Aoto Mochizuki, Kaede Hondo plays Mitsuru Mochizuki, Toshiki Masuda plays Yuto Matsuo and Kazuyuki Okitsu plays Hideto Matsuo. Director Shinji Ishihira leads the adaptation, animated by Studio DEEN, with character design by Mina Osawa.

The outer case features a new illustration by original creator Ichikawa Ichi. A special booklet includes newly drawn manga. Episode 12 has audio commentary by Shintaro Asanuma, Toshiki Masuda and Kazuyuki Okitsu, and the disc includes promotional videos and television commercials. The 96-minute region-free Blu-ray uses Japanese Linear PCM audio and has no subtitles.
