Takuya Miura expands the landscape of his Geopark EP into Geoworld, turning nature and everyday lives into music with a warmth distinct from, yet connected to, his work in DEPAPEPE. Like a geopark that helps people imagine the future by understanding the past, these pieces invite attention to the places and experiences around them.
Miura handles composition, field recordings and an array of instruments, including acoustic and electric guitars, bass and bongos. Icarus features violinist NAOTO, while Into the world, Luftballon, Salamander and Dinosaur Dance explore different corners of the twelve-track album. A Geoworld version of Nichinichi Kore Kojitsu joins Furusato before ...Epilogue closes the journey.
