The 13 Lords of the Shogun Complete Edition Third Blu-ray Box

Koki Mitani presents unpredictable entertainment.

At the height of the Taira clan's power, Hojo Yoshitoki was merely the second son of a small, weak family in Izu. But the gears of fate begin to turn when the exiled Minamoto no Yoritomo marries Yoshitoki's elder sister, Masako.

In 1180, Yoritomo brings together the warriors of Kanto and rises against the Taira. The Hojo family joins this reckless gamble. Becoming Yoritomo's closest aide, Yoshitoki undertakes political maneuvers at the risk of his life, and they finally defeat the Taira clan.

Yoritomo establishes the shogunate and becomes shogun. But at the height of his power, he dies under mysterious circumstances. The second shogun, Yoriie, struggles desperately to surpass his great father. The third, Sanetomo, tries to survive by remaining a figurehead. Shoguns are replaced in the power game between Yoshitoki and the shogunate's retainers.

As uncle to both shoguns, Yoshitoki works desperately to steer the government. When the legitimate Minamoto line ends, the Hojo stand at the head of the shogunate. In the capital, retired Emperor Go-Toba raises an army to defeat Yoshitoki. With the fate of the warrior government at stake, Yoshitoki faces his final decisive battle.
