“Did you see it?” Kukuru quietly shares Gama Gama Aquarium’s secret: sometimes, mysterious things can be seen here. Beneath Okinawa’s summer sun, a little over an hour’s bus ride from Naha, the small, slightly faded aquarium stands beside a beautiful beach in the south of the island. Eighteen-year-old Kukuru Misakino works there with unwavering dedication. She loves it more than anyone, even calling herself its director in place of her grandfather.

One day, Kukuru meets Fuka Miyazawa, a long-haired girl shedding large tears in front of a tank. Fuka has given up her dream of becoming an idol and fled Tokyo for Okinawa without a destination. Drawn to the aquarium’s gentle, unhurried days and searching for somewhere to belong, she asks to work there. Two lives that should never have crossed begin moving together. Yet alongside its mysteries, Gama Gama faces closure. As the deadline approaches, the two begin working to turn things around, protecting an irreplaceable place and a warm refuge.

Chiyu Haebara, a new keeper from Aquarium Tingarla, which is still under construction, comes to Gama Gama for training. Kukuru is put in charge of teaching her. This volume includes a newly illustrated U35 digipak, a clear case and a booklet of character and art settings. Extras feature promotional videos and commercials, an introduction to aquarium-keeper work, a special edition of Gama Gama’s in-house broadcasting programme, voice diaries, a mini-movie and cast and staff commentaries.
