The Dawn of the Witch Anime

The fantasy television anime The Dawn of the Witch comes to a deluxe Blu-ray box. It includes a generous collection of extras, including a substantial newly written novel by original author Kakeru Kobashiri that can only be read here.

I still cannot remember. What, exactly, am I? Saybil, a student at a school of magic, has no memories from before his enrollment. His school life feels empty as he carries on without knowing why he is there. Unable even to understand how to apply himself, his grades remain at the bottom.

Then Albus, the school's headmaster, suddenly assigns him a dangerous special training mission: spread awareness of the usefulness of magic in a region where witch hunts take place. Several years have passed since the war between witches and the Church ended, but the world has yet to fully accept witches and magic. It is the dawn of the age of witches. This is the story of a boy who is nobody yet, and of finding himself alongside companions who conceal wounds in their hearts.

The first Blu-ray contains episodes 1 through 6, and the second contains episodes 7 through 12. Video extras include the creditless opening dawn of infinity by fripSide and the creditless ending Imprinting by TRiNITY.

The box includes Kakeru Kobashiri's newly written novel Behind the Scenes of the Practical Training Exam. The release uses a three-sided slipcase and tall-case packaging.

The cast features Shuichiro Umeda as Saybil, Miho Okasaki as Loux Krystas, Sayumi Suzushiro as Hort, Taku Yashiro as Kudo, Yumiri Hanamori as the Witch of the Muddy Darkness, Masaaki Yano as the Mercenary and Masaaki Mizunaka as the Priest.
