The Detective Is Already Dead vol.3 Blu-ray

But her legacy will never die.

A hugely popular, highly accomplished light novel receives its long-awaited television anime adaptation! The original novel The Detective Is Already Dead won the top award at the 15th MF Bunko J Light Novel Newcomer Awards and began publication in November 2019. Despite the daring premise that the main heroine has already died, its unpredictable story skilfully intertwines past and present, alongside compelling characters such as Siesta and the many mysteries surrounding the legendary detective. Its accomplished storytelling drew considerable attention immediately upon release. The original promotion celebrated third place among new works and fourth in the paperback category of Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!2021. Kadokawa's earlier announcement reported 500000copies across novels and manga; the later Amazon release text reported 700000copies. The long-awaited anime began broadcasting in July 2021.

The original promotion also announced a strictly limited vol.1 edition with a 1/7-scale Siesta swimsuit-version figure. That was a separate vol.1 product and is not included with this vol.3 release.

The original release featured extensive bonus material for fans: newly written novels by original author Nigozyu in each first-press volume, outer cases illustrated by original character concept artist Umibozu, digipacks illustrated by animation character designer Yosuke Ito, booklets exploring the work in depth and special talk footage. The physical first-press items are no longer available and are not promised with this regular edition; the permanent video extras remain included.

Story You should become my assistant. On an aeroplane flying 10000metres above the ground, Kimihiko Kimizuka, a boy with a tendency to get caught up in trouble, becomes the assistant of Siesta, an angelically beautiful girl who calls herself a detective. For three years, the pair fly around the world, fighting the world's enemies and experiencing breathtaking adventures—until her death separates them. A year has passed since those turbulent days. Now in his third year of high school, Kimizuka is immersed in the comfortable routine of ordinary student life. Then a client appears before him. Are you the legendary detective? His meeting with fellow student Nagisa Natsunagi sets in motion another sweeping story connecting past and present.
