The Duke of Death and His Maid Anime

I want these feelings to reach you: love and destiny begin to move. Inoue's popular manga, serialized through Sunday Webry and exceeding 1.8 million copies in circulation, receives a complete-season Blu-ray at an accessible price. Director Yoshiki Yamakawa, known for Hi Score Girl and Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, joins series composer Hideki Shirane. J.C.STAFF handles animation with CGI by SMDE, using the toon-rendering approach celebrated in Hi Score Girl to recreate the manga's fairy-tale atmosphere in 3DCG. Natsuki Hanae and Ayumi Mano lead the cast in this bittersweet romantic comedy.

A witch cursed the noble Duke so that everything he touches dies. Yet irreplaceable companions surround him: Alice, the maid who has long lived with him; butler Rob; witch friends Zain and Cuff; and his sister Viola and brother Walter, who visit even while speaking harshly. Searching together for a way to undo the curse, he finally encounters its source, the witch Sade. At the same time, Alice's mother Sharon awakens from her long sleep. As every connection converges, the story of the Duke and Alice, who yearn to touch but cannot, reaches its conclusion. This is the 2024 third season.

All twelve episodes are included. Natsuki Hanae plays the Duke, Ayumi Mano plays Alice, Hochu Otsuka plays Rob, Inori Minase plays Viola, Wakana Kuramochi plays Cuff, Hiroshi Kamiya plays Zain, Yuma Uchida plays Walter and Yoko Hikasa plays Daleth. Yuko Kaida voices Sade.

Video extras comprise A three-minute recap of the earlier story, the Duke and Alice wedding movie, the creditless ending and promotional videos and commercials. The 288-minute complete season is on one region-free Blu-ray with Japanese Linear PCM 2-channel stereo audio and no subtitles.
