The Electro Santa Claus brings a playful electronic touch to familiar festive melodies on The Joyful Christmas. Originally released in 1976, the album was recorded by early Japanese synthesizer group The Bach Revolution under a seasonal alias. Its warm, humorous arrangements offer a lighter side of the musicians behind the group's more serious experimental work.
From Jingle Bells and White Christmas to Silent Night, eleven Christmas standards are recast through 1970s synthesizers. This first CD edition uses Blu-spec CD2 and forms part of The Dawn of Synthesized Music in Japan reissue series, supervised by synthesizer programmer Hideki Matsutake.
