The Fable Vol. 4 brings episodes 20 through 25 of Katsuhisa Minami's crime-comedy anime to Blu-ray. For a man trained from childhood to eliminate any opponent in seconds, an ordinary life should be simple. Instead, a year without killing becomes the most unfamiliar assignment of his career.

Ordered to lie low by his boss, the legendary assassin adopts the name Akira Sato and attempts to live like everyone else. His extraordinary professional instincts do not translate neatly into everyday behaviour, and the uneasy world around him keeps testing the promise that he must not kill. The series balances criminal danger with the awkward, unexpectedly funny moments of an expert trying to master normality.

This final volume includes cast audio commentaries for episode 21 with Miyuki Sawashiro and Takehito Koyasu, and episode 23 with Kazuyuki Okitsu, Masafumi Fuji and Chika Anzai. A 32-page booklet accompanies the disc, which is presented in a tall case and an outer box featuring newly drawn anime artwork.

The adaptation is animated by Tezuka Productions, with Kazuyuki Okitsu voicing Akira alongside Miyuki Sawashiro and Kana Hanazawa. The region-free disc contains approximately 137 minutes of main programme material with Japanese Linear PCM 2.0 stereo audio. No subtitles are included.
