The Kingdoms of Ruin Animation

A tale of revenge born from despair begins. The hugely popular dark fantasy, which had surpassed one million copies in circulation at the time of this release’s announcement, comes to television animation.

Serialised in Monthly Comic Garden and MAGCOMI, The Kingdoms of Ruin follows Adonis, a witch’s apprentice who vows revenge against humanity after being driven to despair, and Doroka, the witch who travels beside him. This uncompromising dark fantasy depicts their battles against the forces standing in their way.

Witches once brought wisdom and peace to humanity. But the Redia Empire’s Super Industrial Revolution, known as Gear Expansion, has created a scientific civilisation that surpasses magic. Witches are now regarded as enemies who obstruct progress.

Thus begins the witch hunt. Adonis, a human raised by the witch Chloe, loses his beloved mentor and swears revenge upon his own kind. Fuelled by despair and consumed by violence, what salvation can he discover at the end of the slaughter?

The release includes audio commentary and a collection of promotional videos and television commercials. Its original first-press presentation featured a specially illustrated outer case, an illustrated digipak and the third original-art collection. These first-press physical extras were available only while supplies lasted; their inclusion is subject to the copy supplied. Designs, extras and specifications may change without notice.
