Batman TV Series

This man will seize Gotham.

Another story from the world of The Batman. This DC Studios and HBO original crime-action drama continues the film's sweeping crime saga, following the awakening of Batman's enemy Oswald Cobb, better known as the Penguin.

Oz, Carmine's right-hand man, enters Carmine's room and finds secrets in his files that he may be able to exploit. When Carmine's son Alberto, now the acting boss, arrives, Oz sets a dangerous chain of events in motion.

Sofia is still struggling with the shock of Alberto's murder. Meanwhile, Oz visits Salvatore, who is suspected of masterminding the killing, only to be threatened with exposure as the true culprit.

Oz and Sofia collect Alberto's shipment and discover that it contains the ingredients for a new drug, Bliss. Inside the manufacturing facility, chemist Bloom explains how the drug is made from a mushroom's red spores.

After arranging a deal with the Triads, Oz and Sofia are attacked by Nadia and her men outside the club. Oz escapes with Victor, who drives into the scene, while an injured Sofia calls Julian.

With Nadia's men having seized the mushrooms needed to produce Bliss, Oz abducts her son Taj in an attempt to recover them. He visits Salvatore in prison and proposes exchanging Taj for the mushrooms.

After escaping prison, Salvatore begins living at Sofia's house. When the pair learn that Oz has started selling Bliss, they kill gang members who have joined forces with him as a warning, determined to halt the drug's circulation.

Oz returns to find Victor on the ground with a bleeding head and discovers that Sofia has taken Francis. He contacts Zhao and instructs Victor to gather the gangs. Salvatore then arrives and forces Oz to lead him to the underground Bliss facility.

The bomb Sofia planted at the facility explodes, devastating Crown Point. Following Oz's instructions, Victor brings the gang bosses to the neighbourhood, but they quickly leave.

The accompanying behind-the-scenes material explores the recreation of Gotham, the Penguin's prosthetic make-up, the origins of the Hangman and the city's divisions of wealth and class, alongside closer looks at Oz and Victor Aguilar.
