It has been a while: change standby! Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger aired for 50 episodes from February 2004 to February 2005 on TV Asahi as the 28th Super Sentai series. Set at the Earth station of the galaxy-wide space police founded to combat interstellar criminal organizations, it followed six chosen detectives of S.P.D., Special Police Dekaranger, as they confronted the Alienizer criminals. Its appeal reached a broad audience, and at the 2006 Japan Science Fiction Convention it became the first Super Sentai series to win a Seiun Award.

Its popularity continued after the broadcast, with Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger 10 Years After in 2015 and Space Squad: Gavan vs. Dekaranger in 2017. The twentieth anniversary brings Fireball Booster to the screen, opening new territory for the detectives with filming in Kochi and Kyoto.

Change, emergency! Faced with a great plan that threatens Earth's peace, the six detectives reunite, fighting coolly with burning hearts. The cast includes Ryuji Sainei, Tsuyoshi Hayashi, Yosuke Ito, Ayumi Kinoshita, Mika Kikuchi, Tomokazu Yoshida and Mako Ishino, with Tetsu Inada's voice performance and narration by Toshio Furukawa.

The standard edition includes the feature, making-of footage, teasers and trailers, a design gallery, poster visual and audio commentary. Its 50-minute main program is on one region-free Blu-ray with Japanese Linear PCM stereo and 5.1-channel audio and no subtitles.
