Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger Movies

Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger was broadcast on the TV Asahi network from February 2004 to February 2005 as the 28th Super Sentai series, with 50 episodes. Set at the Earth branch of the intergalactic police force established to combat crime across the universe, it follows six chosen detectives of S.P.D., Special Police Dekaranger, as they confront the alien criminals known as Alienizers.

The series won broad support, including the Seiun Award at the 2006 Japan Science Fiction Convention, the first such award for a Super Sentai series. Its popularity continued after the television broadcast, leading to Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger 10 YEARS AFTER in 2015 and Space Squad: Gavan vs Dekaranger in 2017. In 2024, twenty years after the series began, Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger 20th: Fireball Booster brought the team back. Filming in Kochi and Kyoto takes Dekaranger into new territory.

“Change, emergency!” Faced with a grand plan threatening peace on Earth, the six detectives reunite, fighting coolly with burning hearts. Twenty years after assembling at the Earth branch, the Dekarangers face a major explosion. They try to detain a suspicious female alien identified by witnesses, but she escapes. Further investigation reveals that the suspected Alienizer is the wife of the galactic drug lord Tarewarane. Following a clue found around the blast site, Sen and Tetsu visit Mokumisu, an expert on plants, who suddenly attacks them. Can the Dekarangers solve the case?

This first-production limited SP 1 License edition includes the SP 1 License, a photo-card set and a theme-song CD. The publisher originally recommended early reservations because the limited production could make the edition difficult to obtain.

Audio extra: a commentary featuring Ryuji Sainei, Tsuyoshi Hayashi, Yosuke Ito, Ayumi Kinoshita, Mika Kikuchi and Tomokazu Yoshida. Video extras: making-of footage; the completion-screening stage greeting; the opening-day stage greeting; teasers and trailers; the Kochi City × Dekaranger collaboration video; the S.P.D gallery; and the poster visual.
