Tokyo Revengers Anime

The television anime Tokyo Revengers arrives on Blu-ray. Ken Wakui, creator of Shinjuku Swan, presents his latest epic, and this hugely popular work finally becomes an anime.

Tokyo Revengers is a time-leap suspense story at its most passionate and most heartbreaking. Takemichi Hanagaki is a hopeless part-time worker whose life has hit rock bottom. He learns that Hinata Tachibana, his only girlfriend, whom he dated in middle school, has been killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang, the worst and most vicious alliance of criminals.

The next day, someone pushes Takemichi from a station platform onto the tracks. He prepares to die, but when he opens his eyes, he has somehow travelled twelve years into the past. Back in middle school, the peak of his life, he begins his revenge on life itself: to save his girlfriend and change the person who has always run away.

Volume two contains episodes 5–8 and Chibi Reve shorts 5–8. The 68-page booklet includes chapters three and four of Ken Wakui's newly drawn manga, totalling 31 pages; interviews with Yu Hayashi as Manjiro Sano and Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Ken Ryuguji; interviews with art director Manabu Otsuzuki and colour designer Kunio Tsujita; and Manjiro Sano character designs. The edition uses a digipak and three-sided slipcase.
