Tokyo Yakult Swallows Norichika Aoki Blu-ray follows a remarkable baseball career from his arrival at the Swallows in 2004 to his retirement in 2024. Across those 21 years, Aoki accumulated 2,730 hits in Japan and the United States. This retrospective combines his own recollections with the footage that preserves those seasons.
Aoki looks back on discovering baseball as a child, his ambitions as a student and the challenges, doubts and championship celebrations that followed. Longtime teammates Masanori Ishikawa, Tetsuto Yamada and Munetaka Murakami contribute their memories, adding perspectives from players who shared the field with him. Archival features produced by Fuji Television revisit earlier chapters of his career.
The supplementary footage includes his retirement press conference, retirement ceremony and a collection of memorable plays. A 16-page photobook and original sticker accompany the disc.
The main documentary runs approximately 132 minutes, with a further 47 minutes of extras. The region-free Blu-ray presents the footage in 16:9 1080i with Japanese Linear PCM stereo audio; some archival sections are monaural. No subtitles are included.
