Tour de France 2024 Blu-ray

Tour de France 2024 Blu-ray revisits all twenty-one stages of the 111th edition in a 219-minute highlights programme. The race opened in Florence, marking the Tour's first Italian start, and finished outside Paris because of the Olympic Games. Its final-day individual time trial, the first such finale in thirty-five years, added another distinctive challenge to a demanding 3,492-kilometre route.

After three days in Italy, the riders entered France and faced the formidable Col du Galibier. The Alpine and Pyrenean stages placed climbing at the centre of the contest, while passages through Burgundy and Champagne brought medieval towns and vineyards into the race's changing scenery. The late mountain stages and concluding time trial demanded careful strategy and preparation, with the potential to reshape the overall standings.

The programme follows the competition involving Jonas Vingegaard, Tadej Pogacar and Primoz Roglic, alongside experienced riders such as Mark Cavendish and Geraint Thomas and the emerging challenge of Remco Evenepoel. Their contrasting ambitions and responses to the route give the stage-by-stage coverage its sporting context.

Two additional programmes extend the cycling coverage beyond the Tour: a 31-minute digest of Paris-Roubaix 2024 and 61 minutes of highlights from the 2024 Vuelta a Espana. Together they provide 92 minutes of supplementary race footage.

The two region-free Blu-ray discs present the programme in 16:9 1080i. Japanese stereo audio offers the original broadcast track and an alternate track with analysis by Osamu Kurimura and presentation by Sascha. No subtitles are included.
