Tumbling 2021 Stage Play Blu-ray

The eagerly awaited latest installment in the popular series about men's rhythmic gymnastics, the stage play Tumbling, comes to Blu-ray!

In 2016, third-year middle-school students Sakutaro Nomura, played by Akira Takano, and Haruhiko Kitajima, played by Shun Nishime, watch the Rio Olympics closing ceremony intently on television. Childhood friends since kindergarten who have always been together, they are instantly captivated by the brilliant men's rhythmic-gymnastics performance. They promise to take flight into the world together through this lesser-known sport.

The next year, Sakutaro enters Konan High School, but Haruhiko is inexplicably absent. Sakutaro approaches the men's rhythmic-gymnastics club alone and discovers it is on the verge of closing because it lacks members. Desperately recruiting newcomers, he aims for the inter-high championship with six members, just enough to meet the competition requirement.

This inexperienced group joins a training camp with other schools to improve. Among the participants is Yutoku High School, a traditional gymnastics powerhouse that placed second in the inter-high competition. Haruhiko is one of its members! After middle-school graduation he had quietly enrolled outside the prefecture, and he too has pursued men's rhythmic gymnastics and the inter-high championship along a separate path.

Sakutaro is delighted by their long-awaited reunion, but Haruhiko reacts differently. The gymnastics that once stirred their hearts toward a grand stage begins tearing their bond apart. Their teammates also carry individual dreams and worries. Can they leap high enough to face the world?
