Ultraman Blazar TV Series

“I’ll go.” Marking the tenth anniversary of the New Generation Ultraman series, Ultraman Blazar opens an entirely new chapter. Its world, story and characters approach science fiction with a strong sense of realism. For the first time in more than half a century of Ultraman, the hero who transforms is the captain of a defence team.

Following monster disasters around the world, nations established the Global Guardian Force, or GGF, in 1966 to confront monsters and extraterrestrial life attacking from both within and beyond Earth.

In the present day, environmental destruction and global warming are accelerating. One night, the space crustacean monster Bazanga appears. The GGF’s operation struggles, and the special unit led by Gento Hiruma faces a desperate crisis. Then a mysterious giant descends amid a dazzling light: the unidentified large alien known by the codename Ultraman, whispered about among astronauts for decades.

Summoned to headquarters afterwards, Gento suddenly receives a new assignment. He is to command SKaRD, the secretly organised Special Kaiju Reaction Detachment, a unit that uses the giant monster-shaped machine Earth Garon to confront monster disasters. He must also investigate whether the Ultraman that appeared during the Bazanga battle is an enemy to be eliminated.

In Gento’s mind, a memory flashes of Blazar’s dazzling light in a distant galaxy. “I’ll go.” Surrounded by Ultraman Blazar’s light, Captain Gento joins the distinctive members of the newly formed SKaRD. With steadfast courage and an unwavering sense of justice, they enter a new struggle against the monsters.
