Uma Musume: Pretty Derby Anime

Oguri Cap's Cinderella story enters a new stage as the extraordinary runner from the local circuit confronts the strongest competitors at the center of the racing world. Having overturned expectations and defeated formidable opponents, the athlete known as the Monster now faces Tamamo Cross and challengers arriving from overseas. As she races toward an era she will help define, her dreams and rivalries carry her into unfamiliar territory.

Volume 6 contains episodes 17-19: "Japan Cup," "WILD JOKER" and "Unknown Zone." The adaptation of the Uma Musume Pretty Derby spin-off manga is animated by CygamesPictures, directed by Takehiro Miura and scored by Kenji Kawai, with series composition by Aki Kindaichi. The second part's opening theme is "Spurt Syndrome" by 10-FEET, while Tomoyo Takayanagi and Naomi Ozora perform "Futari" as Oguri Cap and Tamamo Cross.

Tomoyo Takayanagi leads the cast alongside Momoko Seto, Katsuyuki Konishi, Hochu Otsuka, Mariya Ise, Ayano Shibuya, Yo Taichi, Shiori Izawa and Naomi Ozora. The ensemble also features Ayumi Hinohara, Ruriko Noguchi, Saya Aizawa, Kana Yuki, Yumiri Hanamori, Saki Kosaka, Azusa Tadokoro, Lynn, Yurina Amami, Yuko Kaida, Shizuka Ishigami, Akira Sekine, Ayahi Takagaki and Miyu Tomita.

The package includes a slipcase illustrated by character designer Yosuke Fukumoto and a special booklet. Its contents bring together a collaboration article with sports magazine Number, an interview with Tomoyo Takayanagi, Saki Kosaka and Shizuka Ishigami, episode-by-episode comments from the animation staff, production design materials and storyboards for the Zone awakening sequence in episode 18, "WILD JOKER."

Cast commentaries for episodes 17 and 18 feature Tomoyo Takayanagi, Naomi Ozora, Saki Kosaka and Shizuka Ishigami. Video extras comprise promotional-video collections for the series and its characters, plus web previews for episodes 17-19. The 72-minute main program is presented on one Blu-ray disc in Japanese Linear PCM stereo and simulated DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround, with Japanese accessibility subtitles for the episodes. The Japanese commentary is presented in Linear PCM stereo.
