The heroine finds herself reborn as Yumiella, the villainess of the otome game Hikayu. In fact, Yumiella is the hidden boss who appears after the Demon Lord is defeated, a being so powerful that she can only be beaten after the player reaches the maximum level.

She refuses to exist merely to be defeated. Determined not to interfere with the game’s story, she resolves to live inconspicuously. But her gamer’s spirit catches fire, and before she realises it she has raised her own level to ninety-nine.

Her overwhelming strength leads the people around her to suspect that she is the Demon Lord. What future awaits Yumiella, who simply hopes for a peaceful school life?

She is surrounded by Patrick Ashbatten, a kind and attentive young man who worries about her; Alicia Ehnleit, the game’s heroine and a rare wielder of light magic; and Eleanora Hillrose, daughter of the kingdom’s only ducal house. Edwin Valschein, William Ares and Oswald Grimsarde are the game’s romantic interests.

Supplementary footage includes the opening and ending without credits. The original first-production edition offered a special outer case, illustrated digipak and booklet containing a newly written story and new illustrations.
