War of Traps Blu-ray Box

A political secretary whose beloved family has been hurt uses every ounce of his intelligence to set ingenious traps and bring corrupt politicians down. Following War of Money in 2015 and War of Lies in 2017, this third entry in the War series returns after six years with a revenge story in which the powerless take on the powerful.

Toru Washizu has devoted his life to serving a politician he calls his teacher. Then his son is critically injured, and the very man he has served orders him to cover up the incident. Faced with this unexpected betrayal, Washizu must decide whether to swallow his anger and accept an outrageous demand. Usually calm and controlled, he can no longer keep his feelings hidden.

Something changes within the man who has always believed that suppressing his own needs and enduring hardship were simply part of his job. The weak have their own way of fighting. Drawing on the strategy, contacts and information he has accumulated during his long career as a secretary, Washizu pursues the identity of whoever left his son fighting for his life and launches a fierce campaign of revenge against the politician using his power to conceal the truth.

The bonus footage goes behind the scenes to reveal the cast’s off-camera personalities and the craft behind the drama, including the poster photography. It also features a roundtable recorded immediately after filming with Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, Haruka Igawa, Karin Ono and Emma Miyazawa, plus an interview with Yosuke Sugino. A special booklet brings together a wealth of photographs from the production.
