Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Anime

The daughters strike back with newfound powers. The mission of the Yashahime is finally revealed!

Sesshomaru's daughter Towa Higurashi, raised in the modern era, returns to the Warring States period to search for the Dream Butterfly and restore the lost memories of her twin sister Setsuna. Zero, the sister of the Beast King Kirinmaru and apparently connected with the Dream Butterfly, regards half-demons as enemies because one is prophesied to defeat her brother. She plots to destroy Towa and her companions.

Towa and Setsuna are half-demon girls whose father is the great demon Sesshomaru and whose mother is the human Rin. Their companion Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, is a quarter-demon born to a half-demon and a human. Zero has targeted all three since shortly after Towa and Setsuna were born. They survived because Towa was sent to the modern era, Setsuna took refuge in a half-demon village and Moroha was sheltered by the wolf-demon tribe. Fourteen years earlier, Inuyasha and Kagome were caught in a battle with Kirinmaru and sent into the tomb of the Great Dog Demon, the father of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha, hidden inside the Black Pearl.

Although they are half-demons, Towa, Setsuna and Moroha demonstrate their powers admirably, forcing Kirinmaru to face them seriously. But Setsuna falls to Kirinmaru in that battle. Sesshomaru appears before a deeply regretful Towa, hands her Tenseiga and asks whether she will try. The blade of Tenseiga, called the sword of healing and said to save a hundred lives with a single swing, has been broken. What can the broken Tenseiga do? Can it bring back Setsuna's lost life? What answer will Towa find as she stands in the rain?
