A plane trailing black smoke is seen crashing from the sky. The disaster apparently seems to have been caused by a choujin, yet the aircraft suffers remarkably little damage and, most surprisingly of all, as many as 200 people survive. High school students Tokio Kurohara and Azuma Higashi are returning from volunteering with the accident cleanup when delinquents with whom they have a history suddenly accost them, but something about the encounter feels different from usual.
