Yowamushi Pedal: Over the Sweat and Tears Stage Play Blu-ray brings Sakamichi Onoda and his teammates to the decisive third day of the Inter-High road race. Sohoku High School has survived two demanding days, but the strain has built up in every team's legs. Their rivals remain fiercely determined, and the final stretch will decide who reaches the line first and claims overall victory.

Adapted from Wataru Watanabe's cycling manga, the production continues the stage series' distinctive approach to racing, turning the performers' movement and teamwork into the momentum of the course. Ryunosuke Shimamura plays Onoda, with Shuya Sunagawa as Shunsuke Imaizumi, Saki Kitano as Shokichi Naruko and Ryosuke Yamamoto as Yusuke Makishima. The competing riders include the teams from Hakone Academy, Kyoto Fushimi and Hiroshima Kure Minami Technical High School.

Kousuke Kujirai directs the production, using the racing-stage method created and supervised by Shatner Nishida. Music is by manzo, with lyrics and vocals by Haruko Momoi and race-direction assistance from Takuya Kawarada. The ensemble carries the excitement and accumulated exhaustion of the race into the conclusion of this stage-series chapter.

The two-disc edition separates the performance from its supplements. Rehearsal-room and backstage making-of footage is joined by the final performance's curtain call and digest footage from all twelve Pedal Stage Bonus Stage segments. A booklet is included with the discs. This region-free release has Japanese audio and no subtitles.
