Yuzuru Hanyu notte stellata 2025 Blu-ray

Held in Miyagi from March 7 to 9, 2025, Yuzuru Hanyu notte stellata sends a message of hope from the region affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. The 2025 show marked its third staging.

Led by Yuzuru Hanyu, internationally acclaimed skaters came together to give heartfelt performances. At Hanyu’s strong request, kyogen performer Mansai Nomura joined as a special guest, making their long-awaited collaboration a reality.

This edition presents the closing performance on March 9. Hanyu and leading skaters from Japan and overseas deliver world-class entertainment, while the extraordinary collaborations with Nomura in Bolero and SEIMEI surprise and move the audience.

Bonus footage includes highlights from the March 7 and March 8 performances, together with alternate edits of the Bolero and SEIMEI collaborations that reveal these remarkable programmes from different perspectives. Interviews and a special booklet are also included.

The Italian title notte stellata means a sky full of stars. It comes from Hanyu’s own experience in Sendai, Miyagi, on March 11, 2011. Walking towards an evacuation shelter after the earthquake, he looked up through the darkness caused by the power failure and saw a sky filled with stars usually hidden from view. Even in despair, he felt a light of hope.

Like those stars that illuminated the disaster-stricken region, the show seeks to send out hope and offer people a chance to smile, even a little. Experience that wish through Yuzuru Hanyu notte stellata.
