404 GAME RE:SET Memorial Album brings classic game music together across company boundaries in an 84-track, four-CD collection from SEGA Sound Team.
The game's story places players in a world distorted by SEGA, fighting to restore its true history. Alongside Casts, characters who reimagine classic games from SEGA, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Taito, SNK and Capcom as girls, players battle and purify Cathode Casts. The album collects 74 tracks that accompanied that story.
The selection includes Re;build, composed by Shinji Hosoe and sung by Anemone Mournian, alongside arrangements by SEGA Sound Team's Yasuyuki Nagata, Yasuhiro Takagi, Hiro, Junpei Mishima, Fumio Ito, Satoshi Oike, Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, Hidenori Shoji, Takahiro Kai, Tomoya Ohtani, Keitarou Hanada, Rintaro Soma and Iona Takashima.
Ten previously unused pieces are added as CD-exclusive bonus tracks, bringing the total to 84. The booklet contains comments from Yasuyuki Nagata, Junpei Mishima, Hiro and Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, as well as a character guide covering all Casts and the navigator Ribbon. The four CDs are housed in a tall case.
