9 Border Blu-ray BOX

Haruna Kawaguchi stars with Haruka Kinami and Mei Hata as three sisters aged 19,29 and 39, each in the final year before a new decade: the 9 border. With each milestone comes hope and anxiety. Work, romance, marriage, childbirth and parenting can bring women constraints and deadlines. When their father suddenly disappears, the sisters reunite under one roof. This entirely original human love story follows them through uncertainty and urgency as they search for happiness, with LOVE, LIFE and LIMIT as its three themes.

Twenty-nine-year-old Nanae Oba works for a company that develops food-service businesses. A capable, reliable worker, she becomes its youngest deputy head of brand strategy. Yet promotion brings more routine administration and distances her from the creative work she loved. Absorbed in her career, she has neglected romance and feels a difficult emptiness as friends marry and start families. Then her father, who runs their family's public bath, vanishes. Eldest sister Mutsuki,39 and separated from her husband for four years, and youngest sister Hatsumi,19 and drifting without goals after high school, gather with her to wonder where he went.

Nanae meets Kotaro, who works in a bar and has unusual circumstances. Initially puzzled, she becomes increasingly drawn to him. Meanwhile, Hatsumi receives a sudden marriage proposal without prior dating from an elite trading-company employee she met through an app, but cannot let go of her feelings for Nanae's childhood friend Yota. Yota, however, loves Nanae, creating a triangle. Mutsuki wants to end her separation but cannot act, until new certified accountant Matsushima arrives at her office and transforms her daily life. The sisters' eventful struggle with work and love begins.
