A Certain Scientific Railgun Animation

The story of certain girls in a certain city—Mikoto Misaka returns! A Certain Scientific Railgun T comes to Blu-ray.

A huge city stretches across western Tokyo, with a total population of 2.3 million. About eighty per cent of its inhabitants are students, giving it the name Academy City. Here, people develop psychic powers: the ability to bend the laws of the world and create supernatural phenomena. Students gain their abilities through a special curriculum, and regular System Scans assess them on six levels, from Level 0, with no ability, to Level 5. At the very top stand seven espers hailed as the strongest.

One of them is Mikoto Misaka. The highest-ranked Electromaster, able to manipulate electricity at will and known by the name Railgun, she is a fourteen-year-old student at the prestigious Tokiwadai Middle School. Her younger schoolmate Kuroko Shirai belongs to Judgment. Kuroko’s colleague Kazari Uiharu admires refined young ladies, while Kazari’s friend Ruiko Saten loves urban legends.

An annual major event is approaching amid these friends’ peaceful, ordinary and slightly unusual daily life in Academy City: the Daihasei Festival. This huge sports festival runs for seven days, with students wielding their powers in fierce competition between schools. Parts of Academy City open to the public during the event, and the festivities are broadcast around the world. Everyone is excited about the lively celebration, unaware of what is stirring behind its splendid stage.

The limited edition includes a newly illustrated box with digipak packaging, an original soundtrack and a booklet. Bonus material includes textless opening and ending sequences, promotional videos, the broadcast version of the final episode and audio commentary.
