A Couple of Cuckoos Anime

Lives and love collide! The hugely popular romantic comedy of a five-way relationship returns for its long-awaited second television anime season.

The original is the popular romantic comedy by Miki Yoshikawa, creator of Flunk Punk Rumble and Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, serialised in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine. Season 1 aired in 2022 over two consecutive cours, creating a sensation with the four-way relationship woven by its appealing characters. In July 2025, the eagerly awaited second season finally began, with a new character joining to make the five-way relationship more powerful than ever!

The lavish bonus specification deserves attention. The original release announcement includes a box newly illustrated by character designer Kyoko Kon and a special booklet containing design materials and other fan-oriented contents. Physical pressing extras depend on the edition supplied and are not guaranteed.

Story Nagi Umino and Erika Amano were born on the same day and switched as babies. Raised as the son of a diner owner and the daughter of a hotel magnate, they become engaged at the recommendation of their adoptive and biological parents. As they begin living under one roof, their life draws in Nagi's classmate Hiro Segawa and Sachi Umino, who follows her brother.

A fiancée, the girl he loves and a sister unrelated by blood: now Nagi's childhood friend and first love joins this mismatched four-way relationship! Lives and love collide in a five-way romantic comedy that begins with babies switched at birth. This summer, fate begins moving even more dramatically!
