A Journey to Kill You Blu-ray Box

Kataoka is a well-liked yakuza lieutenant whose warmth and sense of loyalty have earned him the trust of his fellow gang members. After an incident forces him into hiding, the boss's son Kirii orders Odajima to accompany him as driver and attendant. Odajima has another assignment: kill Kataoka before he can stand in the way of Kirii's succession.

An event during a gang conflict seven years earlier has given Odajima personal reasons to hate the man in his care. Yet their journey gradually brings him face to face with Kataoka's kindness, while Kataoka becomes increasingly interested in the quiet companion beside him. Revenge, duty and desire become difficult to separate as the two men grow closer.

Masanari Wada and Hiroto Takahashi star in this adaptation of Nishi Asai's manga, directed by Daisuke Kamijo. Shintaro Yuya, Kaito Hori, Keisuke Teranaka, Shunsaku Kudo and Maju Ozawa also appear, and Daito Yamamoto provides the theme song "Tsurezure."

The set contains all six episodes, totaling 155 minutes, on two main discs, plus a bonus disc with 81 minutes of material. Extras include the "Tabisuru Futari" making-of feature, a joint lead-cast interview, deleted scenes, a short version of the premiere event and trailers. Wada and Takahashi provide commentary for every episode, joined by Hori for episodes 2-3 and Kamijo for episodes 5-6. A 16-page booklet is included. The main programme features Japanese Linear PCM stereo audio with Simplified Chinese subtitles.
