Having finally confessed their feelings, Saikawa and Toraya stop pretending to be lovers and begin a real relationship. They spend affectionate time together on weekdays as well as weekends. Toraya is increasingly drawn to sides of Saikawa he never knew, while Saikawa’s love deepens in response to Toraya’s sincerity. Their story continues through the events of the manga’s fourth and fifth volumes, including a tender night at a hot-spring retreat.

Kohei Toraya is twenty-five and works in the sales department of a major general trading company. Earnest and hardworking, he is now gently cherished by Saikawa. At the start of the new business year, he is assigned to train a new recruit. Rai Saikawa, twenty-nine, is Toraya’s supervisor and a leading performer in the sales department. Now that they have acknowledged their love, his affection only grows stronger. This part of the story gradually reveals his upbringing and feelings he has kept hidden.

Saikawa’s cousin grew up with him almost like a brother, knows him well and remains firmly on his side. Toraya’s new recruit is a cheerful presence who is also popular with clients. Toraya’s direct manager is thirty-five, a senior colleague of Saikawa’s, and an approachable man who keeps an eye on Toraya when he pushes himself too hard. A kind, dependable thirty-two-year-old factory manager at a client company is also Toraya’s futsal friend. He likes Toraya, but is that interest purely professional, or something more?
