Afternoon KC Kraken Mare Vol. 2
ＫＲＡＫＥＮ ＭＡＲＥ（２）
Afternoon KC Kraken Mare Vol. 2 is an official Japanese paper manga volume by IZU, Hagane (Manga Artist), Masato Hara, published by Kodansha under the Afternoon KC label.
Companions or convictions. Humanity or duty. Which can she choose? Oriale spent her childhood as a slave of the Red Sand pirates before the Ecclesia rescued her. She serves the Church as an Atmancer, a warrior who injects black ether into her body to unleash superhuman power. Amid a covert struggle for power within the organization, a powerful cardinal detects signs of secret ties between another faction and Red Sand. As his trump card for uncovering the truth, he orders Oriale on a potentially fatal infiltration of Mars. Oriale slips aboard an illegal mining ship as a crew member, fakes a crash and descends to Mars. In the land that left her with indelible emotional wounds, she reunites with Gaud and Nuria, childhood friends from her days as a slave whom she believed dead. What is more, they have become Red Sand's leaders! The reunion is brief: the Church's army, the itinerant order of knights, attacks, turning the area into a battlefield in an instant. Having thrown in her lot with Red Sand, Oriale finds herself forced to cross blades with the very Church that once saved her. Volume 2 of this galaxy-shaking science-fiction action and spy adventure! © IZU / Hagane 2026
