Seven Sleeping Beauties

Afternoon KC Seven Sleeping Beauties Vol. 9 is an official Japanese paper manga volume by Fiok Lee, published by Kodansha under the Afternoon KC label.

Why has an entire kingdom fallen asleep? Solving the mystery is part of the fun in this hugely popular fantasy romantic comedy! Alec, the third prince of Rudbeckia, earned the resentment of the seven princesses of the sleeping kingdom of Amaryllis by kissing them awake. Somehow, however, he has managed to make peace with them all, and the eight are now working together to break the sleeping curse. A stone inscription about the sleeping spell, found in the witch's hideout, says that breaking the curse requires them to exchange vows with an awakened princess and perform a wedding ceremony! They discover that the ceremony apparently requires betrothal rings and begin searching for them. Then Alec's older brother arrives and plots to kill him in order to take Amaryllis for himself! Alec's quick thinking enables them to capture his brother. But when they ask him why Rudbeckia has become a country that invades other nations, his answer is entirely unexpected! Seven princesses and one prince star in Volume 9 of this chaotic romantic comedy. There is Flora, the easygoing and slightly absentminded eldest princess; Chiara, the plant-loving second princess who enjoys teasing; Clair, the proactive third princess who yearns for romance; Mia, the fourth princess who longs to be more grown-up but is a little timid; Charlotte, the fifth princess who cannot tolerate wrongdoing and is quick with a sharp retort; Yuka, the sixth princess who is a bundle of curiosity and wants to investigate everything; and Elisa, the energetic seventh princess who loves food. Joining them is Alec, a passionate prince who is earnest to an almost ridiculous degree. © Fiok Lee 2025
