Ar tonelico HATS Game Music

Akiko Shikata returns with her second album, a year and three months after her previous release. Layered vocals, classical influences and ethnic rhythms create a fantastical, border-crossing world of healing pop. Her songs draw on several languages and an invented vocabulary.

The album includes Utau Oka - EXEC_HARVESTASYA/.-, a full arrangement of the theme associated with the PlayStation 2 game Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia, released in February 2006. Harutsuge - Raggi di primavera and Reimei - Aurora, the multiple-ending songs from the PlayStation 2 version of Hanakisou released that July, appear here rather than on the game’s soundtrack. Taro Hakase also joins her in a musical collaboration.
